Many activities are possible starting from the cabin or nearby, in both winter and summer, whether you’re on a romantic getaway or a family vacation.
Ban-sur-Meurthe-Clefcy:
-La voie verte de la Haute-Meurthe between Saint-Léonard and Plainfaing, passing through the towns of Anould, Ban-sur-Meurthe-Clefcy, and Fraize, offers a 9 km route. Built on a former railway line, this multi-use trail allows you to safely enjoy walking, cycling, and gliding (scooters, rollerblading, etc.).
Connecting marked hiking trails, it makes it easy to take short circular walks around each village
Departure at the Lancoir Sawmill:
Sentier du Sagard, a 4.2 km trail with a 130 m elevation gain, around the sawmill. Along thirty information panels, discover a landscape shaped by glaciers, the Straiture biological reserve, the dispersed highland habitats, and the damage from the 2015 tornado. A game booklet is available for children.
The Sentier des Blanches Fontaines, 1.3 km, is a very easy trail where you will discover the bilberry, the difference between a fir and a spruce, the small creatures of the river, the dipper, the black woodpecker, and many others..
-La ferme du saphir, a teaching farm where children can feed, brush, and interact with the animals.
-La Bergerie de Straiture, where you can explore a mountain sheepfold, see a demonstration of shepherd dogs at work, watch sheep shearing (depending on the season), and learn about the artisanal processing of wool.

-La confiserie des Hautes Vosges Plainfaing (10 minutes by car), with free tours and candy tasting. A great activity with kids in case of bad weather. You can watch the candy-making process live.
-Le Lac Blanc (15/20 minutes by car), featuring a bike park, summer toboggan run, hiking trails, orienteering and barefoot trails, skiing and sledding in winter.
-Gérardmer (15/20 minutes by car), known as the "Pearl of the Vosges" with its natural glacier lake. Enjoy a pleasant walk around the lake, rent an electric boat, and visit the playground for children. Shopping and a carousel will delight both parents and children. Pool and wellness area. Skiing and sledding in winter.
-Col de la Schlucht (25 minutes by car), with summer tobogganing, toboggan run on rails, rock path, and ski slopes.
-La Bresse (25/30 minutes by car), offering hiking, the Lama Mountain, Bol d'Air (trampolines, nets, slides, treetop adventure), and Waouland in summer for children aged 4 to 13. Skiing and sledding in winter.
-Fraispertuis (35 minutes by car), a park with over 35 attractions.
-Alsace Christmas markets: Kaysersberg (35 minutes), Riquewihr, and Colmar (45 minutes).
-Numerous hiking trails near the cabin: Rudlin Waterfall, Sérichamp Moor, Roche des Fées, Saut des Cuves Waterfall....
